We all know about the 'Great resignation', but not much is written about the 'Great disconnection'. Employee disconnection is one of the main drivers of voluntary turnover, low productivity, sickness, and missed days at work. Infact, beyond the workplace, social isolation and loneliness are two of the greatest predictors of poor physical and mental health outcomes, globally. Our workplaces are suffering from employee loneliness and disconnection, and it's impacting employee health and business outcomes. In this session we will explore the background of employee disconnectedness, the causes and signs of disconnectedness in workplaces and teams, and ways to measure and address loneliness and social disconnected in workplaces.

Gracious is the co-founder and CEO of Empylo Health, a digital health and consulting company that provides solutions that address global health challenges and their associated risks. She is an experienced senior practitioner in mental health, having worked in the NHS for over 10 years. Additionally, Gracious is a global health specialist with a deep passion for addressing global mental health and psychosocial challenges in various settings, especially in the workplace.
