When boxing meets boardroom

Growing up in a caravan, to a working class family in the north of England no one, not even Marnie herself, expected to have taken the UK by storm in the way she did when she won the 2023 series of The Apprentice and received a £250,000 investment from business tycoon Lord Sugar with her business idea Bronx: a boxing club that would revolutionize people’s perceptions of the sport and encourage participation from previously unseen consumers. Prior to this venture Marnie was a boxing champion herself turned Barrister after an unlikely meeting with a criminal defence lawyer in her local amateur boxing club. Marnie’s story is one of determination, a desire for more, and never accepting no for an answer. In this seminar she’ll tell us the secrets to her success so far, lessons learnt after her first year of business at Bronx and what life has really been like working with one of business’s most powerful names.
